FAQ - frequently asked questions

Will the room temperature be the same as the one shown on the remote control?

The temperature will not be identical, but close. This is due to physical conditions, such as the difference in air density - warm air accumulates near the ceiling, and cold air closer to the floor. Therefore, the temperature measurement at the air conditioner itself may differ by up to several degrees from that collected closer to the ground. Usually it is a difference of about 3 degrees Celsius. It should also be taken into account that the devices usually react at a temperature difference (heating or cooling the room) of approx. 2 degrees Celsius.

Can air conditioning replace radiators or underfloor heating?

It is possible, but you should remember about the inertia of temperature, which affects the maintenance of temperature in the room. The air conditioner heats the air faster, but the energy cools down faster. Underfloor heating requires a longer warm-up time (energy accumulation through the floor), but energy loss will be much slower. A heat pump with underfloor heating or fan coil units can also be used.

From which unit is the condensation coming out?

Drain (condensate) comes out of the indoor unit during cooling. Condensate will be discharged from the outdoor unit when the unit is started in the heating function.

How often do services need to be performed?

The EU directive requires inspection at least once a year, the manufacturer's warranty twice a year for standard rooms and 2-3 times a year for technical rooms, such as server rooms or UPSs, while for hygienic reasons we strongly recommend servicing devices every 4 months or more often.

If I install air conditioning on the mezzanine, will it cool down the lower part of the room?

This can happen provided that the mezzanine is open to the lower part of the house or apartment. However, it should be remembered that the capacity of the device may be insufficient for the needs of both rooms, which may be associated with insufficient cooling of the mezzanine and the lower floor and faster operation of the device. Of course, there will be significant limitations in air circulation, especially under the mezzanine.

Will the air conditioner hanging in the hall cool down the adjoining rooms?

There is a chance, but it depends on the layout of the apartment and many other factors. The size of the door openings and their location relative to the indoor unit are important in this case. Of course, the bedroom door must remain open in this case. We do not recommend such a solution, because the obtained results may be unsatisfactory.

Can I service/clean/repair the air conditioner myself?

In order to service or repair the device, authorizations (FGAZ), manufacturer's authorization and skills are required. Unauthorized actions also void the warranty. However, the user can clean his device by removing the filters from time to time and washing them under running water.

Will air conditioning significantly affect the amount of electricity bills?

This depends on the energy efficiency of the device and the frequency of use. Modern air conditioners from reputable manufacturers have great parameters, thanks to which the cost of using air conditioning slightly increases bills.

Do I need to register the device?

Standard low-power devices, operating on the basis of the ecological refrigerant R32, do not require registration. Units subject to registration can be checked on the website of the Industrial Chemistry Institute. Certainly, these are devices with the R410A factor (over 2,4 kg of substance in the system) or other ODS - substances that deplete the ozone layer.

When is the best time to service the air conditioner?

It is best to arrange services outside the peak season, from September to March. During the peak period, the waiting time for service is significantly longer. We recommend checking the devices before the start of the cooling season.

Do I need a permit to install air conditioning?

Most cooperatives and developers do not have specific requirements or they are standardized, but we encourage clients to make sure that permissions are not required in a given building.

Is it possible to install air conditioning in a tenement house?

Installation of air conditioning in places under the protection of the conservator of monuments is possible, but requires special preparation on the part of the client. In addition to the necessary visit to the final assembly site, the consent of the conservator is required.

Can I get a home heating subsidy?

It depends on the subsidy programs operating at the given levels of state administration (city, commune, province). Most programs are based on thermal modernization, i.e. replacing heating systems based on solid fuels with ecological ones. heat pumps.
