Servicing air conditioning is a very important element of caring for the device. Regularly performed services significantly affect not only the life of the device and its technical efficiency, but above all, they are of great importance in terms of the well-being of the household members.
In the case of an unserviced device, you can notice a noticeable, even several dozen percent, decrease in the efficiency of the air conditioner. The lack of maintenance activities also negatively affects the components. It is not worth allowing a situation in which they will be so neglected that a possible repair of the device will not be profitable.
Filters in the air conditioner are designed to sift and collect impurities. If they are not regularly cleaned and disinfected, there may be a problem with air flow, and fungi may appear in hard-to-reach places, e.g. on the heat exchanger or turbine. The unpleasant smell in the room will then be one of the minor problems, because mushrooms are harmful to health. Servicing air conditioning is also very important due to allergens.
Air conditioning service should be performed regularly. What does this mean? The EU directive states that it should be performed once a year, but it is recommended to perform two inspections a year. If your air conditioner hangs in a place particularly exposed to dirt or grease (e.g. in a catering establishment), then we recommend performing them even more often.
Air conditioning service does not take much time, but it requires professional cleaning agents, e.g. fungicides. It is also important that performing regular services is a prerequisite for maintaining the warranty.
