How to design and install the installation to avoid condensation on the floor

Air conditioning service Warsaw

Air-conditioning devices are an increasingly used assortment not only in offices or public facilities, but also in private homes and apartments. What structural elements should air conditioning contain to prevent the negative effects of forced cooling?

Condensation - an unwanted effect of air conditioning

Condensation of water on the floor during cooling is a phenomenon that is a signal of incorrect installation of air conditioning devices. It also occurs as a result of too large a temperature difference between the air in the room and the airflow emitted by the device. It can also be caused by too much humidity in the interior.

Such condensation of water from the air can provoke situations that are dangerous to the health of users. One of them is a wet, and therefore slippery surface, which may pose a risk of falling and, consequently, injuries, bruises and even fractures. Moisture in the air or on the floor that persists for too long is also conducive to the formation of mold and fungi, which can aggravate allergic symptoms in allergic people and cause respiratory diseases in non-allergic people.

How not to let that happen?

To avoid the adverse effect of condensation of water vapor from the air, surface heating should be installed in the floor, and cooling near the ceiling or the upper part of the walls, which will support natural air circulation in the room. It is worth remembering at the stage of designing or building a new building, when we still have the opportunity to influence the assembly system. In a situation where air emissions have not been separated in terms of heating and cooling functions (cooling from the top and heating from the bottom), it is worth using one of the solutions proposed below.

First: such methods should be used assemblywhich will help to maintain the proper air cooling temperature within the range of 19-24o C. To make this possible, you need to use a temperature sensor on the supply and a safety thermostat set to a minimum temperature of 18oC. The first tool will transmit information about the prevailing temperature to the automation heat pumps. The thermostat, in turn, will stop the circulation pump when the temperature drops dangerously.

Secondly: you need to reach for solutions that maintain adequate humidity in the room. This task will make it easier mechanical ventilation that is, all kinds recuperators e.g. Mitsubishi Electric Lossnay series device, which operates 24 hours a day. It supplies fresh air to the interior and gradually dries the room. The use of mechanical ventilation also causes even mixing of warm and cold air flow, which prevents the formation of moisture zones. We also write about recuperation - i.e. mechanical ventilation combined with heat recovery on the subpage https://www.climapolska.com.pl/wentylacja-rekuperacja .

They also prove to be very helpful in minimizing the phenomenon of air condensation relative humidity sensors. They will work best when mounted on the floor. Thanks to this, the transmission of information about the room conditions to the heat pump automation will be maintained in a continuous and uninterrupted manner. The sensor should be set to 70-80% relative humidity. These are the most optimal conditions for stopping the supply of cold to the floor level. The sensor set in this way also increases the flow temperature. It also contributes to increasing the speed of mechanical ventilation in the recuperation system.
